Executive bio
Derick Sequeira.
Derick Sequeira
North American SC Braga scout and coach. Founder, Project Zero x SC Braga Academy of Canada.
Derick Sequeira was born in Mississauga, Ontario. He played for Team Ontario, Toronto FC and Canada's youth national teams, and was on Canada's squad for the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
In 2026, Project Zero signed a partnership with SC Braga, a Portuguese club that has played in the UEFA Champions League. In August 2026, Derick took 44 players to Portugal. Ten earned offers, and six are living and developing there today.
His mission is simple: no family should have to go through this alone.
Project Zero x SC Braga Academy of Canada
The Academy runs the Toronto ID Camp, trains competitive players ages U9 to U18 in the SC Braga way, and takes selected players to trials in Portugal. SC Braga decides all selections.
